Program focuses on Kamm's longtime advocacy for Chinese prisoners
John Kamm, founder and executive director of The Dui Hua Foundation, was featured on NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams on Friday, December 28, 2007, on the “Making a Difference” series. The special profile "Selling China on Human Rights" showcases his human rights work that became the cornerstone of Dui Hua's mission, with footage shot over a 30-year period in China and Hong Kong and interviews with the US ambassador to China and the wife of a prisoner who was released with Kamm's assistance. A "guest blog" written by Kamm accompanies the profile. “Making a Difference” segments air every Friday on the NBC Nightly News, which has an audience of up to 10 million viewers. The popular series focuses on exceptional individuals who pursue causes that directly “make a difference” in the lives of others.
